Honorary Professor in the department of Human Genetics at Andhra University. Earlier had been to The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine for Post-Doctoral Research, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Have three Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded projects, two as Principal Investigator and the third one as Co-Principal Investigator. The projects are basically to find out the molecular defects that are predisposing the persons from Uddanam region for CKDu and Sickle Cell Disease.
